5 Ways to Find and Choose Your Las Vegas Wedding Vendors
1. Ask Friends and Family for Suggestions. This is always a good place to start since the legwork has already been done. People are generally eager to share good and bad experiences they have had with vendors. Once you have collected a list of recommended vendors, go through the list and follow the next step.
2. Schedule a Consultation. Consultations are free - they better be! - so you have nothing to lose. If possible, schedule an in-person consultation. If you are from out of town or too busy to meet, schedule a time to have one over the phone. Email works too, but you can get a better feel for the person via face-to-face contact or telephone.
*If the vendor shows up late for the scheduled consultation, don't expect punctuality on your wedding day.
3. Ask Another Vendor. Let's say you have already selected and booked your wedding photographer, but you still need to find a caterer and florist. Ask your wedding photographer who she recommends. Since she is a wedding industry professional, she should have very helpful vendor suggestions.
4. Think About the Past. Another way to find wedding vendors is to take a few minutes and think about weddings and events you have attended as a guest. Do you remember any vendors that stood out or went above and beyond? For example, did you think the DJ did a fantastic job at your best friend's wedding? Or maybe your sister's bouquet was exceptionally beautiful? The next step, of course, is to acquire the vendor's contact information and...you guessed it! Schedule a consultation.
5. Preferred Vendor Lists. If you are getting married at a country club or reception hall, obtain a "Preferred Vendor List" from the venue's event coordinator. It is always a good idea to consider the listed vendors - there is a reason the vendor is on the list.
